Airport Parking Provides Cost Effective Travel Requirements
There are three main types of airport parking
, the first being On Airport self parking where you, the customer turn up at direct at the terminal you are traveling from and park in either the short or long stay parking services. It is possible to pre-book these services and save money. Once you have entered the parking area you find a parking bay usually on a large flat surface area or a multistory car park and then make your way to your departure check in area.In recent years most airports have severely improved the level of undercover walkways and lighting around these parking areas to make the whole process more attractive to potential customers and travelers.
The second option is Off Airport park and ride. Many different companies at all airports set up base anywhere from 1 to 10 miles from the airport and offer a bus service from their site into a designated area of the airport.
Once you have checked in on the site you load your luggage, good sites have drivers ready and waiting to help you with this, and once at the airport drop off point you make your way to the departure check in area. Its worth noting that this service is usually much cheaper than parking frankly at the airport terminals but the walk to departures can be longer than the selected drop off point for Off Airport parking sites.
Finally, if all that walking from multistory car parks and loading and unloading your luggage from buses and more walking doesn't appeal to you there is another option - Meet And Greet.
Pre-bookable chauffeur services direct at each terminal building at every airport, there are a vast array of companies offering these services. You drive straight to the terminal your flying from and meet the chauffeur outside the entrance buildings or in close proximity to the entrance and once a check of their details and your vehicle have been completed, you hand over the vehicle, taking their direct contact details or return.
A few security points for all these services:-
Look out for the Park Mark security award. This allows you to leave what is normally your highest purchase after your house safe and secure on a site that has been checked and awarded the award based on complaints and security breaches to name but a few.
When booking parking services, always read the terms and conditions and prior to leaving your vehicle with anyone check for bumps and scratches and what your end mileage is. Remember though, if its an Off Airport site that could add 20 miles to your speedo!!
Be sure to plan your journey and be aware that airports can get very busy at both on and off airport sites and as such you should always allow yourself plenty of time to drop your vehicle off and enjoy some light refreshments in the airport lounges prior to your flight. Better to be early than late.
