North India North zone of India fascinates the people who visit from various parts of the world. The numerous places in North India are worth admiring. This zone is the home to the capital city of India, Delhi. There are colourful states of Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir which leaves the travelers captivated. Every state in this zone has its own beautiful history and is the reflection of tradition and culture. Some well known cities in North zone are: Chandigarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi. South India The Southern Part of India is known for its natural beauty and beautiful monuments. States like Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, are thronged by the tourists all the year round. The great Peninsular Plateau here is divided into 2 parts, namely, the Deccan Plateau and the Malwa Plateau. The Malwa plateau is surrounded by the Aravalis in the north and the Vindhyas in the south. Whereas, The Deccan plateau stretches from the Satpura hills in the north to Kanyakumari in the south. States in this zone are Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Pondicherry, Lakshadweep, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar. West India Western part of India comprises of 4 States namely Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa and Madhya Pradesh. West India has many striking places and the travelers can spend memorable time over here. There are many good tourist destinations over here. The well known states here are: Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Daman & Diu. Central India If you wish to be very close to the nature then Central India is the place for you. The place is known for its architectural splendor and has rich tribal legacy that rests in the forests of this state. One can have a lovely holiday experience in this state. There are numerous beautiful temples forest reserves and dazzling diamond mines. Well known state here is Madhya Pradesh. East India This is one of the most exciting zones of Indian-Subcontinent and attracts the tourists in large number. This part of India comprises of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand which make your trip a lifetime experience. There are some wonderful monasteries and Buddhist monuments. The Eastern Zone is beyond comparison as there are states like Assam, Manipur, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Nagaland, Mizoram and Meghalaya. The famous states here are Arunachal Pradesh,West Bengal, Assam ,Manipur ,Orissa, Nagaland, Bihar, Tripura, Sikkim, Mizoram, Meghalay.
