A Review Of The 2010 Acura TL
Acura has found a niche in the luxury car market by focusing on technology
. The 2010 TL is a tech lover's dream come true, due to forward features such as a GPS linked temperature control, a rearview camera and a state of the art navigation system. When it comes to aesthetics, the TL really stands out in terms of its unique looks; the front grille is rather bold and in your face and car experts have opined mixed reactions to it. The body is accentuated with smooth lines and C-pillars that are swooping. The base model includes sport alloy seventeen inch wheels, a power sunroof, heated seats, plush and comfortable leather seating, Bluetooth compatibility, a premium sound system that works with most personal mp3 players.
TL's base model comes prepared with a V6 3.5 engine with 280 horsepower and 254 lb feet of torque. The SH-AWD model boasts a V6 3.7 Ltr with a more robust 305 HP. The engine was constructed with a hollow cam shaft and crafted out of aluminum, resulting in a more lightweight product. Gas mileage stands at 18 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the freeway. The base model works fineas an everyday car for driving to work whereas the AWD really shines as a high performance car. It is the athletic AWD trim level that is more competitive with very driver-oriented performance cars like the BMW 3 series whereas the base model is less sporty and more on par with luxury cars focused on comfort like the ES from Lexus.
The interior consists of a modern and up to date design that is pleasing to the eye. Opt for the Technology Package and receive advanced features like a big navigation screen with constant traffic and weather tid bits. You can input an address into the navigation system by just using your voice. The GPS Linked Temperature Control system (included with Technology Package) works to monitor the sun's position and keeps all areas of the car cool accordingly. The Tech Package also includes a rear view camera, which is automatically turned on anytime you go into reverse. It shows any items close to the side and back of the car and it's also a great help when attempting to park. Trunk space for the front wheel drive is at a generous 13.1 cubic ft. The standard audio system comes with 8 speakers with a subwoofer for 276 watts of music for the ultimate listening experience.
This vehicle features all of the latest safety precautions on the market. Anti Lock Brakes helps the auto to remain stable when braking is abrupt and sudden. The Vehicle Stability Assist system works to keep the automobile under control during understeer or oversteer situations. The Advanced Compatibility Engineering system works to protect passengers during a crash. There is also an airbag system, seatbelt pretensioners and active head restraints in order to prevent whiplash incidents.
Around $35k is the starting cost of the base nodel. In order to enjoy all of the features that this auto offers, it is suggested that you opt for the Technology Package. If you like high tech gadgets then the 2010 TL would be a great car for you. It doesn't get any cooler than a temperature system that is controlled by GPS and one of the biggest navigation screens on the market!
