Worse can be the injury to you or even death in extreme circumstances. If you don't know 4 wheeling then travel with someone who knows the area and knows how to four wheel.
The best advice when in this region is to leave the four wheeling to the professionals and to make sure that you are prepared in case of emergency. It is also very important to make sure that you find out information regarding road conditions and possible road closings from local officials as they will best know which roads might become impassable after a storm or during a particular time of year.
