Bradley Center Tickets - Milwaukee's Best Make Waves In January
Milwaukee might be best known for its breweries
, but in the month of January this Midwestern hotspot will be dripping with entertainment as some of the best sports and music acts brave the bitter cold to help warm things up in the Wisconsin hotspot. Milwaukee and the surrounding city of Madison play host to several epic events in the month of January, and it all starts with the epicenter of Wisconsin excitement: the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Bucks are fronted this year by the talented Brandon Jennings, helping this NBA team off to a respectable start to the season. Jennings is joined on the court by center Andrew Bogut, forward Ersan Ilyasova and guards Luke Ridnour and Michael Redd, and they've got to bring all they've got to the hardwood at the end of January, when the Bucks host the Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat in intense battles.
On Jan. 27, Bucks fans with Bradley Center tickets will get to witness a rematch between Milwaukee and Philadelphia, as the 76ers head to town for a rendezvous on the basketball court. Last time the two teams met on Oct. 30, 2009, the 76ers trumped the Bucks 99-86, but the spectacular matchup between Milwaukee's Brandon Jennings and Philly's Louis Williams was one worth watching. The Bucks have to stop Andre Iguodala this time around if they want a chance at revenge, and this game is sure to be a crowd-pleaser at the Bradley Center.
Basketball fans who miss out on the Jan. 27 Bucks-Sixers showdown can catch the Bucks in action once again just days later on Jan. 30, when Milwaukee hosts the first of back-to-back games against the Miami Heat. The Heat have been a hot commodity on the NBA scene this season thanks to starters Dwayne Wade, Michael Beasley and Jermaine O'Neal, and Miami will bring the excitement with fervor at the end of January as the Bucks attempt to put a halt to their winning ways.
For Wisconsinites who would rather catch a live concert than a basketball game, there's more to do in January than just root on the Bucks. Several big-name music acts are gracing the state this winter throughout Wisconsin, and one must-see performance will take place on Jan. 26, when the acclaimed Owl City takes its synth-pop magic to the big stage at Madison's Majestic Theatre.
Led by the soothing single "Fireflies," a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year, Owl City has made its breakout performance in 2009. The Minnesota outfit is the brainchild of indie musician Adam Young, and with the release of the debut album Ocean Eyes Owl City has become a top touring act of the year. "Fireflies" will most certainly be part of Owl City's set when the Midwestern outfit takes its "ten million fireflies" to the Majestic Theatre, and Wisconsinites can catch a glimpse at other synth-pop confections such as "Cave In" and "On the Wing" with tickets to see the popular group in concert this winter.
There's plenty of action to partake in around Milwaukee this winter, and it all kicks off in January with basketball games and concerts galore!
