Why Florida Is The Best Holiday Destination
Whats so fabulous about Florida? Could it be the many beaches
, the many golf courses it has to offer or the events and festivals that happen every month throughout this sunny state.Florida itself is located in the Southern East part of America and shares its borders with Alabama and Georgia. The Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean are divided by Florida peninsula.
Florida is the fourth most popular state in America and there is no wonder why. With over 80 million visitors each year the magnetism speaks for itelf.
Florida is a terrific place for chilling out and relaxing on one of the many high ranking beaches that are visited all year round. With their glittering white sands and the clear warm ocean waters that run through the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic ocean.
With beautiful names like Coca Beach and the infamous Daytona Beach, there is little wonder it is called The Sunshine State with sub tropical temperatures in the North to totally tropical weather in the South.
Many tourists will take a fly-drive holiday to this part of the world but not only for the theme parks and exhilarating rides that are available in the infamous parks. It goes way beyond all of that as Florida is willing and able to offer so much more.
Scuba divers travel all over the world to experience under water landscape, wildlife, and to enjoy other activities like everyone else does. Scuba divers find the waters of Florida to be warm and inviting. The sealife is amazing with an array of Baraccuda, Nurse Sharks, Morray Eels, Giant Eagle Ray, Tarpons and natural and man made ship wrecks. Its a delight to dive in Florida and all down the Keys.
Golf is a major attraction in Florida and it boasts of having nearly 1500 golf courses. Starting as high up in the North as Panama City Beach the courses stretch right to the bottom of the peninsula to include names like Fort Lauderdale Beach and Miami.
Its only forty minutes to travel between Fort Lauderdale Beach and Miami Beach and upon doing so the visitor can exerience the most famous shops, highly regarded restaurants and beautiful scenery, whilst taking advantage of the many more golf clubs that can be found up and down the south east coast.
With Florida having the deserved nick name of The Sunshine State it means that it can get hot but when drawing into the winter months means that this is the perfect time of year for a well earned round of golf what ever the time.
After relaxing for a couple of days on the beach or playing a few rounds of golf there is also adventure. Why not go and take a journey through the Everglades or go to one of the many events and impressive festivals that are present throughout the year.
The Everglades is Americas only sub tropical wilderness. It claimed this accolade due to the way the ocean currents run, the hot southern climate and its prime location. It is an attraction for people who possess an adventurous spirit and loves the outdoors. Kayaking, air boat tours and canoeing are but a few of the activities that are available in the area.
If thats not for you the events and festivals that are available throughout the year are bar none. If champagne and jazz are more your desire then the champagne night, jazz nights and cultural workshops are available twenty four seven.
Last but by no means least there is Walt Disney World, the huge theme park.
