Summer Brings Fun Parties
Summer is finally here (well, to some of us at least) and that means fun parties! Parties can be a great way to have fun during the warm weather
. They also let the kids have fun during their break in school Enjoy a few of our summer party suggestions below.
Costume Party - A costume party will entertain children and can be fun for adults as well. You can have a themed party, such as a grease 50's party where guests where poodle skirts and greaser jackets. Poodle skirts come in adult and children sizes, making poodle skirts an easy, and fun, costume for the entire family. You could also keep the costumes open to anything the guests want to be.
Grill up some grub by having a BBQ party in your backyard. You can serve great BBQ food, including hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, watermelon. Top it off with some ice cold lemonade.
Fiesta Party - With Cinco de Mayo coming up, what better way to celebrate than with a fiesta party. For inspirational recipes look at these recipes found on the foodnetwork site. Have fun with colors, and add a pinata for a fun activity.
Pool Party - A pool party is an essential summer soiree. Order pizza or stick with snack foods such as pop, chips, and pretzels. Provide the children with water guns as a fun party favor, and incorporate it as a party game.
Block Party - Bring the neighborhood together for a neighborhood block party. Section off a part of the street and bring out recliner chairs for a fun neighborhood potluck. Send around sign up sheets for different foods people can bring.
Make your summer fun by hosting an outdoor carnival. This fun idea is especially nice for kids. Set up booths, have face painting, cotton candy, fun crafts, popcorn - and lots of water!
Luau - Pull out your Hawaiian shirts and have fun with a luau in your backyard. Implement Hawaiian treats for your menu, such as rice, pineapple ham, and a variety of vegetable and fruit platters. Have fun with tropical decorations, Hawaiian accessories, and bamboo.
