Canoeing, all walking trails, and the bird sanctuary nestled at the Southern most point of the lake are all available to residents. During the warmer months local residents can be seen boating, jogging, walking and enjoying the mountain weather with family, friends and pets. An exciting new addition to the neighborhood, just up the road from Beaverdam Lake, is the new YMCA, built at the base of the Reynold's Mountain community. This new facility helps residents in North Asheville avoid traffic and save time.
