Monasteries:Sikkim is a revered destination for Buddhist pilgrims. The state has witnessed the visit of Guru Padmasambhava, a great Buddhist Saint in the 8th century. The many age-old Buddhist gompas are live example of the erstwhile golden eras. Pemayangtse, Rumtek, Enchey, Labrang and Phodong are a few holy Buddhist monasteries, which attracts devotees from different parts of the world.

Trekking Routes In Sikkim

Gangtok-Pemanyangtse-Yoksum-Dzongri: This trekking itinerary offers the breath-taking views of Kanchenjunga. Trekking peaks, namely Thingchen Khang and Jopunob in West Sikkim is the best location.

Namchi(Damthang) Tendong-Ravangla-Menam-Borong: The superb trials that begin from Namchi covers many hilltops and enthusiasts can halt at proximity of Borong Tsa-Chu(hot spring) to have refreshing hours.

Tendong hill: The route from Tendong passes to Damthang bazaar and directs the way to Namchi. Tendong measures an altitude of 8, 530 ft and is carpeted with thick forest.

Menam hill: This soaring hilltop is at an altitude of 10, 300 ft and trekkers standing at the pinnacle can enjoy an overview of the Ravangla Bazaar Settlement.

Versery trek: A comfortable 4 kms trek from uto Hilley, help one reach Versey. It is situated at an elevation of 10, 000ft and beholds the beauty of Rhododendron Sanctuary.
