Pedestrians Suffer Personal Injury In Downtown Accident

. Just this week, two Portland women were struck by a taxicab after the taxi was involved in a downtown Portland accident. The women who were not initially involved in the accident suffered personal injury when the cab careened into the street corner where they were standing. When the two vehicles collided, the cab was propelled to the corner where the women were, pinning them against a building.
Witnesses indicated that one woman appeared to be seriously injured. Both were taken by emergency personnel to a local hospital for treatment. At the time of the news report, their names had not been released, and their conditions at the hospital were not known. Police are continuing the investigation.
