Mumbai A Finest Tourist Destination

Mumbai the economic capital of India is thronged by the tourists throughout the year

. All type of trading is carried out over here and is also known as the capital hub of India.There is numerous places of tourist attraction which one can visit in Mumbai. The beautiful beaches, the colonial construction, museums and art galleries are the chief tourist attractions in Mumbai which attracts millions of tourists round the year and from ll parts of the world. The Elephanta Caves, Prince of Wales Museum, Gateway of India, Haji Alis Tomb, Victoria Terminus, and Bollywood Industry are the most sought after places in Mumbai.

Gateway of India

Mumbai citys primary attraction is The Gateway of India. It was constructed in 1911 to celebrate the trip of King George V and Queen Mary for the Delhi Durbar . Positioned at the Apollo Bunder, the gateway has historical importance as the British troops that left India by sea, walked through its gateway. The monument is complete with four towers and elaborate latticework engraved into the yellow basalt stone.

Elephanta Caves are well known in the whole world for its sculptural beauty and in the rock cut caves. There is A Shiva temple in these caves which is also a great attraction present here and is also marked for the beauty of the sculpture of the temple and the image of the Trimurti Sadashiva.

Prince of Wales Museum

Another important place of tourist interest in Mumbai is The Prince of Wales Museum. The museum was constructed in 20th century to honor the trip of Prince of Wales to India. The design of the museum was planned by George Wittet, who also gave the design of the prominent Gateway of India. These are the stunning structures of the city and they grab the attention of the people.

Marine Drive

A leisurely walk down the Marine Drive is the most excellent way to see Mumbai. This zigzag stretch of road with skyscrapers on one side and sea on the other extends from Nariman Point to Malabar Hills. Due to its shape and large number of street lights, it was previously called the Queen's Necklace.

Juhu

Designated as the fashionable bourgeois heaven, Juhu Beach is a destination that allures a great number of tourists all round the year. Crowded by walkers, earsplitting children and romantic couples, the coastline stretches in an area of approximately 5 kilometres. Juhu beach is appealingly surrounded with numerous deluxe hotels providing the clients an impressive vision of the coast. The shoreline is evidently jam-packed on weekends. Furthermore, the seaside actions like camel rides, pony rides, acrobats, performing monkeys and entertainers will keep you spellbound and engrossed all the time.

Other attractions in Mumbai are Hanging Gardens ,Kamla Nehru park, Chowpatty,Array milk colony ,Doll house,tower of silence ,Jain temple etc.
