Mexico Beachfront Lots Least Expensive Vs. Most Expensive

Share: Are you considering buying a beachfront lot in Mexico
? To help you get an idea of the range and variety out there, consider these two possibilities, both located on the Yucatan Peninsula; one is probably the cheapest beachfront lot development available with a full set of services and connections, in an up-and-coming area, and the other is a similar size but already in an established area.
Cheap Mexico Beachfront Lots $64,900 Sabancuy, Campeche
These lots are located in a beautiful area of the Yucatan Peninsula that international tourists and investors are just beginning to discover. The lots offer:
66 ft of virgin beachfront

Share: soft, white sand, emerald water
depth of 1320 feet
all connections
direct highway access
45 minutes to colonial city, international airport
Less than 30 minutes down the road, there is a new condo-marina-golf development, selling condos for almost 10 times as much. Another upscale golf course development was announced in early 2010. The colonial city of Campeche (the capital of the state with the same name) has been completely restored, and is beautiful and clean. There are also large stores such as Walmart, and modern hospitals.
The downside? Since
Campeche real estate and tourism are just beginning to grow, many services have not yet appeared, and residents may have to wait a few years for them. But for this price, and with this many conveniences already in place, who can complain?
Luxury Beachfront Lot - $685,000 USD Tulum
This lot, located in the very "happening" market of Tulum, is comparable in size and style with the following features:
66 feet of beachfront
an area of almost 15,000 square fee
connections to electrical grid, and other utilities
walled property
soft, white sand, turquoise water
Coral Reef close access to the second largest in the world, which is protected here
very close to Mayan Pyramids of Tulum on a cliff overlooking the beachfront
located on an exclusive bay
This lot has the benefit of being at the center of all the action in Tulum, directly on the beachfront, which is a privilege, since most of the development is occurring back from the beach. It is near upscale shopping areas which will be appearing over the next few years, the town center and the famous Pyramids.
So, is it worth it to pay more? The higher price in Tulum is the price of being at the center of where the action is already happening; in Campeche, more services will be appearing over time, but those lots will continue to be driving distance from everything (albeit a moderate drive of only 30-40 minutes). If that doesn't bother you, and you are on a budget, go for Campeche; if you have the funds, and you want the privilege of being at the center of all the new development, consider Tulum. Of course, you can always find something in the middle!
