The Gran Turismosequenceis in my opinion the ultimateracing simulator ever. It's a requiring game and some times it might get frustrating. It takes time to adaptto the controls and to the game itself. But the game has been made that way it is made as a simulator and not as a arcade game. It's the closest you can get to the real life.
The developers have always done a great workwith offering the gamersthe most realistic experience. Due to this some might find the game frustrating but that's the way it was meantto be. It is not Need for Speed or Burnout Paradise or any other arcade game you don't have some impossible boosts or take a corner with 250 km/h. Gran Turismo 4 has great physics and if you are looking for a super realistic game then this is for you.
The game is quitehard, even after you have improved your driving skills and have bought quickercars it will take you literally hundreds of hours to complete the wholegame. And even after that you will wantmore. The graphics are very good but still they can't match those of its mainchallengerForza Motorsport. I think that's the only fragmentwhere Gran Turismo falls back. In all other aspects GT is better.
The physics have been renewedsince the previous Gran Turismo and it made a big difference. Thatfragmentwas good in the previous game but now it's justastonishing. All the G forces, the tilt of the cars and everything else are so realistic. The biggest setbackof Gran Turismo 4 is the fact that there is no damage to the cars. This means that you can hit other cars, barriers and walls the car will be in perfectcondition. And some guys do hit other players or walls in order to get in front.
There is an awesome feature in the game which teaches you all the importantthings you shouldmaster and then if you pass the tests it gives you a licence. I find this a very good way to build your skills up. Even if you have never played a racing game before you could become a decent racer. There are more than seven hundred different cars from over eighty manufacturers. In every car you can play from three different viewing angles.
Gran Turismo is the best racing simulator on the market for some time and it has somechallengerbut still none of them can claim to be better. Gran Turismo 4 is a must have for every car lover who has PlayStation.
