Does Medifast Really Work? Here's My Opinion And Review


I have lost a noticeable amount of weight on Medifast. I've also changed my habits a bit over time. As I saw results, I began to become more motivated to exercise and become more active. I'm often asked does Medifast really work or was it the exercise, my change in attitude, or the actual Medifast diet which contributed to my results?

My honest answer is I think it was all of those things working together. After I became engaged to be married and began to think about fitting into a dress, I got really serious about losing weight once and for all. So my attitude going into Medifast was a highly motivated one. I was finally genuinely willing to make lasting commitments and changes in my lifestyle. Like never before, I refused to remain overweight and unhealthy. I believe this greatly contributed to the success I have had on Medifast.

To be fair, I did lose weight steadily on this diet before I added exercise into the mix. But seeing that the program was actually working motivated me to bump up my commitment and to literally get moving. Once I did this, I saw spectacular results and felt better than I had in years. In turn, I became even more committed to the program and my habits just fed on themselves and got better and better. My success gave way to more success and an even higher commitment to a healthier lifestyle.

Medifast did make dieting convenient and easy for me. The plan took the guesswork out of what I could eat and eating the Medifast way did take off the weight, but I think my determination, commitment and exercise routine would've ensured I lost weight either way. Would I have lost as much weight? I don't know the answer to that question, but I am very happy with my experience with Medifast and for me, it has really worked.

I think the bottom line is that changing your attitude and your eating and exercise habits will absolutely contribute to weight loss, but I needed a plan that took a lot of the guesswork out of the process. Medifast freed me up to concentrate on enhancing my life and moving my body more. I think if you are able to make these commitments and changes, you will lose weight no matter which plan you chose.
