There are cases of mesothelioma patients who were only exposed to asbestos when changing
the brake linings on their cars and breathing the dust from there.
Some women got asbestos exposure passively, that only by washing clothes of their husbands or sons who either worked in industries or got exposure during their work.
The researchers think that mesothelioma can appear at any time ranging from 20 years of exposure to 50 years after being exposed to asbestos. This indicates that there will be more cases of mesothelioma until the year 2020.
