The brass band that was created in 1846 plays frequently in the park throughout the summer.

Boat building, rope making and sail making are the three things that Woodbridge was most famous for. You can see the results of this passion for perfection on the piers. One of the two tide mills that are in working in England is located here and visiting the perfectly restored Tide Mill will be very interesting. In addition, visiting Buttrum's Wind Mill has also been fully restored and contains the historic grinding equipment intact.

The beautiful Sutton Hoo overlooks Woodbridge and offers a wonderful array of exhibitions, activities and events throughout the year. The 245 acres contains wonderful artifacts and there are falconry lessons, archery lessons, theatre, and a teaching centre that will give you all of the interesting facts about the history of the region. You will notice in the pastures and fields that there are huge horses that look so gentle and loving you are tempted to reach out and touch them. These are the world's oldest horse and is as gentle as it looks. The Suffolk Punch, or Suffolk Horse is one of the most famous working horses in the world. The history of this magnificent animal is found in Shire Hall which is located about halfway through Market Hill. There are wonderful exhibitions of the history of this great horse. In July the Maverick Festival celebrates this horse and the cowboy way. Music, arts, booths, competitions, food, ale, and the unique arts found throughout the region are all available for your enjoyment.

The Suffolk Festival of the Performing Arts involves the entire town and will provide you with wonder entertainment, dance, singers, theatre, arts, and activities. Then, in July, the annual Regatta Riverside Fair gives visitors a great opportunity to celebrate the River.
