The cloths that are described are very typical in the fact that they are snowy white and flowing, which make her appear pure and clean.By omitting the cloths, the writer accomplishes two things. First, he dehumanizes her even more. She no longer has the human quality of dress to make her more of a person and give her more of a connection with the reader. Second, it takes away the purity aspect of womanhood. By taking away the thought that the Lady might be good the author creates a since that the woman brought the curse upon herself.
