Leisure range cookers have always been associated with affordable quality
. Price speaking, they tend to come in at around the midrange mark for cookers that are actually going to last: ovens that will do their job for a decade without crumbling into useless hunks of rust. Now, weve arrived at Decade 2 of the new millennium and a range of Leisure cookers that has managed to capture the best bits of new design without its terrifying price tags.
That said, theres a model in the new strand of Leisure range cookers that stands out from the crowd by not looking like your Nans cooker: the fearsomely-named EB10CRX, which not only sounds like something out of the Terminator movies, but looks like a piece of the bridge of the starship Enterprise. Boldly going where no cooker has gone before (since the 80s, anyway), this particular Leisure range cooker is a masterpiece of chunky brushed aluminium, flat surfaces and smoked glass doors, retailing (if you know where to look) for the astonishingly affordable price of 600. Given the acknowledged reliability of Leisure cookers, thats like actually going back in time and buying a top of the range piece of kit at genuine 30 year ago prices. And if that isnt a stroke of marketing genius, wed very much like to know what is.
