In metaphysical philosophy the plausibility of belief and disbelief in God is not only the domain of faith but also the domain of reason.
It is held by most donkeys on two legs that revelation and reason cannot be married. They are in constant single states. Each one has to suffer from loneliness, and mental masturbation. Well, mental masturbation or not, we all are face with an unfathomable universe, an absolute mysteries enigma, in presence, origin and finality. Unless, you know better, being a genius!
Revelations inform us, in the divine messages: the scriptures, of the origin of the universe, the origin of all life manifestations, including the origin of the wretched human species. They tell us of the purpose of man's existence, your purpose and mine and all the other cockroaches and rats and mice, for ladies. It tells us that we are here for a short and transitory time and then death takes us, and no one yet can figure out what death is and what happens at death and who brings death to you.
We are informed that we are made up of good and evil in order to be tested and tried in our thoughts, beliefs, feelings and sensing. Those who make up their convictions to belief shall be rewarded witth eternal felicity and those who chose not to shall be punished in hell fire. All these are performed when all the human species shall be made to perish and then resurrected at leisure by the creator of the human species.
Reason, being so limited and so short sighted, especially made so by the ungrateful human donkey, makes such donkeys deny God as creator of universe and the donkey humans. This is because their genius of reason, like Hawking, Russell, Sartre and billions of Gog and Magog, imbecile Buddhists and stupid Hindus and blasphemous Christians, all do not think that there is a God for the major party of them and if they happen to think they associate with God humans and angles, to give support to God, for He might need their help.
Man is given the mind to think and reason out. To observe, analyze, examine, conclude and make convictions. Everyone is destined to this end. No one can escape nor avoid such functioning. So those who are wise enough to look at this universe and see for themselves the strong plausibility of coming back, the structure of life of trials and the tendencies of good and evil, see for themselves the rightfulness of what revelation predicts.
Man, being made up of atoms, can be re-done again in the same manner and why not abruptly.
The same power that made man out of atoms and then made them into ashes can re-bring it all together once again.
A day of reckoning is essential for life then becomes bereft of meaning and void of purpose. We have to come back to account for our deeds. Hitler, Paul Pot, Caligula, Bin Ali and Bin Ladden, along side Truman, the Bush father and son, Al Capone and Mao, Stalin, Marx and Lenin, and the list is endless, to be held to account for their disbelief and crimes against humanity. But this time the tribunal is not at the Hague but in the Kingdom of Heavens.
So would we ride the two horses of revelation and reason at one and the same time or not? At the circus they do it! So why not we, in actual life?
