. There is a beautiful mountain to climb called Mt. Elgon on the extreme border with Kenya. This mountain is one of oldest in Africa and though it's volcanic it has since become extinct. Still on that you can sample the Ruwenzori Mountains also known as the mountains of the moon. These mountains offer a very wonderful climbing experience.Uganda also harbors the starting point of the greatest river in Africa, River Nile. The river starts its 6,600km journey from near Jinja a town in this great country. This river has many names depending on the terrain its passing. Here it's known as Victoria Nile then Albert Nile and lastly as Blue Nile. It has created several pools around this place and you catch tilapia near a famous attraction called the Murchison Falls. Watch the Giant Nile Crocodiles as they wallow in the muddy pools. Sometimes, they seem harmless but they are very dangerous reptiles. River Nile ends it journey in the Mediterranean Sea.
Uganda will give you a treat of some wonderful wild animals from the various game parks in this country. There are also thousands and thousands of bird species to watch totaling to more than three thousand. The parks are namely Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for elephants and chimpanzees and Murchison Falls National Park where you can marvel the Nile crocodile, giraffes and other animals. Other parks include Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Mt, Ruwenzori National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park and Lake Mburo National Park.
