Why People Really Quit Their Mlm Business
Being a 30 year veteran of the MLM business I feel I'm more then qualified to speak on this subject
. MLM has had it's share of ups and downs, but for the most part the good solid reputable companies are doing very well.So why is it that most people just do not realize their dreams when starting an MLM business. As an expert in this business I can venture to guess that the main reason is money and let me explain.
When most people get into the business they were sold a dream, a dream that if they join a company they would just automatically make it big. The fact is nothing could be further from the truth.
In most MLM businesses including the very one I am in simply do not pay out a lot of money in the beginning. Don't ask me why this is, but it's the same way with every other MLM company, there isn't very much money to be made when you first start up.
My first commission check from my company was $2.87 yes you read that right just two dollars and eighty seven cents. I felt like I worked by tail off for 30 days and to get that check was pretty depressing. So why am I still in the business? Simple, I saw the bigger picture and this is where most people stray away from the business.
Another reason beyond the money is the fact that most individuals that get involved with an MLM business do so because they see the potential for big money, but yet they have no real desire or belief in the product they represent.
The problem with this is you now have to pretend that you do care about the product you offer and for the long term this usually fails. People can tell if you are passionate about what your doing and if you come across as less then excited about your product then you're just shooting yourself in the foot.
Most people would be better off starting their own business with something they believe in and have a passion for instead of joining an MLM business. For those of you that can match up your passion with a good MLM company then you're in business.
I was fortunate to stumble upon an MLM business that although I didn't have an immediate passion for, but the products were in a field that I had past experience in and the move to this company was a natural fit for me.
Have you noticed all the magical juice companies that have popped up over the last 3 or 4 years? If you have been following this industry you would have to imagine that sooner or later they are going to run out of exotic rain forest in remote parts of the world that only one berry has ever been harvested. Get what I am trying to say? If you haven't caught on to this yet then pay attention, there are no exotic berries in remote parts of the world. And when 10 different companies come out with their very own special berry drink then it just dilutes the entire industry and everyone loses credibility.
Am I an absolute expert on this subject? Well no I'm not, but at least I can say that MLM does work if you find the right company with products you can really believe in. This may sound elementary, but trust me it will make your life a lot easier and your chances of success will greatly rise.
This may sound counter to what everyone else is saying, but sometimes it makes sense to look at things backwards and go from there. The point is this; don't worry about the money in the beginning because there isn't much to worry about anyway. Set your sites on the ultimate goal and that's to have a successful business. Besides, who said this is a race to make the most money as quickly as possible.
If someone is bragging about how much money they're making in their MLM business then turn and run as fast as you can. People that do this are trying to brag when in fact they probably don't make half of what they are stating. Look at the big prize at the end and set your sites on getting there.
