Why Is It Harder To Be A Christian In The Land Of The Free Than Countries Where Its Against The L

Why Is It Harder To Be A Christian In The Land Of The Free Than Countries Where Its Against The L

Of course this isnt a true statement, but it seems for some almost impossible to live for God in America

. There are many countries in the world where it is against he law to be a Christian, but even against the law people still become Christians.

It is important to remember that for the very beginning of the church, it was against the law to become a Christian. The Romans tried harder and harder to make the Christians disappear, but the more they tried, the faster the Christians grew. They would burn them at the stake, feed them to the lions, among other methods of torture.

Finally the Roman Empire caved and declared Christianity a recognized religion. This history seems to almost be similar to what is going on in countries where Christianity is illegal. Even though it is forbidden by law, the church is finding a way to grow.

The sad thing is that here in America where people are free to practice what ever religion they choose, more and more are choosing not to believe any thing. It seems that the easier it is to be a Christian, the less appealing it seems to be.

One theory is that when a church is filled with all kinds of people that are only there for the social club type aspects of a church, they dont really aid the church, but rather make it less spiritual. In the countries where Christianity is forbidden, only people that are committed make up the church.

You are not going to here that you can be filthy rich if you become a Christian in Korea, because they know they very well could lose there life for the conversion. So they come into the church knowing it will be a sacrifice. However, we in America many times get in the church thinking Jesus is our stepping stone to advance our careers
