With these alarming figures, the task of doctors and hospitals is becoming immensely challenging. But with the advancement in technology, the cure has become possible provided that the disease is diagnosed at an early stage. With the use of modern technology the cure rate of cancer has gone to almost 70-80%.

Indian healthcare system is expected to reach US$ 100 billion by 2015 from the present US$ 65 billion. According to a rating agency Fitch, it grows about 20 percent every year. Some of the major driving force that has led to growth in this sector includes growing lifestyle which leads to health related issues,increase in population, cheaper health care costs,trust in medical tourism,improve health insurance penetration, government initiatives, increasing disposable income and focus on Public Private Partnership(PPP) models.
Even Indian pharmaceutical market is expected to have a medium growth. The sector will grow at a rate of about 15.3 percent from 2011-12 to 2013-14. Meanwhile the Government of India has also decided to increase the health expenditure to 2.5 % of Gross Domestic Product ( GDP) by the end of Twelfth Five Year Plan.(2012-17) from an existing 1.4 percent.
Today India has some of the best doctors in Delhi- the capital city of India. Further the healthcare system of India offers an attractive growth opportunity for business process outsourcing (BPO),information technology( IT). The market for outsourced services to healthcare system is expected to reach to US$ 15 billion in 2016.
