This value for money is something that attracts people from across the world to Sharm El sheikh, as does affordable hotel accommodation and food.
As well as scuba diving, holiday makers are attracted to the local scenery too, which provides a dramatic backdrop for walking and exploring the various historical attractions that dot the area.
There is also a great deal of sailing to be done too, with many affordable boat rental options. What is considered an expensive past time in Europe, for example, is actually fairly cheap out in Sharm El Sheikh.
It is for these reasons that Sharm El Sheikh have risen to prominence in recent years.
