Victorian Snow Report spokeswoman Maureen Gearon said Mt Hotham had 10 centimetres of snow fall on Sunday and Mt Buller had three to five centimetres.
"It is a blanket of white, which is beautiful at this time of year, people are out in their Santa hats taking photos in the snow,'' Ms Gearon said.

With temperatures forecast to reach minimums of -2C in the mountains on Wednesday, before warming up to reach highs of 18C on Christmas Day, Ms Gearon said a few patches of snow might still be around in the valleys on Christmas Day.
"There might be enough to throw a few snowballs,'' she said.
