Whether we are setting up an office in a commercial building or in an unused room in our house we know we will be needing a copier
. Copiers range in size, brand, color, specifications, functionality, and, of course cost. What are our specific copying needs, are we on a tight budget or have we saved up for this business opportunity? Bottom line, no matter what, we need a copier to grow and prosper. Did we research so we can make an informative and intelligent decision as to the best machine and purchasing option for our business.Copiers are big machines and so at times need some maintenance and repair. Are we financially prepared to pay for the copier with our savings, only to also pay for repairs or parts? These costs may be more money-consuming than time-consuming and more costly than we prepared for in our budget. If we were to lease a regular maintenance agreement with a qualified copier company (such as ours, hint-hint), we would be provided with a lease and service contract so our out-of-pocket expenses will be minimal or nothing. Then all the repairs and service costs are also included in the lease what a great idea for smaller businesses. It would also mean our copier would be serviced regularly so it would not break down, or if so, not as often. We also get a local phone number to call to get a service guy to come right over if anything does happen.
Along the same lines; if we buy a copier and then one day the copier is on its last legs and needs to have a part replaced you have to start the researching process all over again and may have to actually appear in person to find the exact part you need; then you have to install it yourself. If you have leased your copier, then they will be the ones to spend the time looking for that one high-quality, but best price copier part. The truth of the matter is that you will have to pay for the part, but they will have found it on their own time and they will install for free as part of the maintenance agreement. Some copier leases offer the benefit of free minor repairs and free installation. If need be most companies will provide you with a temporary replacement copier while yours is undergoing repairs what is that worth? At times, that is worth the lease all by itself.
Nothing lasts forever and some day your copier will be beyond repair and need to be replaced. If we bought our copier and have to purchase a new one, then we will end up with two copier machines and unless we have an abundance of storage we will have to figure out how to dispose of the broken one. On the other hand, if you leased your machine the company would be more than happy to lease us a newer, more advanced copier and will usually take the old one away for us when delivery the new one. The other reason a lease is so much better is because our copier can grow or shrink to match whatever our business is doing.
