The movie is the film adaptation based on the best-selling book Beezus and Ramona and featuring characters from the Ramona series of children's novels by Beverly Cleary. The film is directed by Elizabeth Allen.The movie was mainly shot in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. The lead role, Ramona Quimby, was portrayed by the new comer Joey King. She was selected from a nationwide casting call to play the role at the age of nine. She will be joined by the Disney's mainstay Selena Gomez as Beatice (Beezus) Quimby. Other casts includes John Corbett and Bridget Moynahan as the girls' parents. And Ginnifer Goodwin will portray their Aunt Bea while Josh Duhamel will play their Uncle Hobart, while Hutch Dano will play Henry Huggins.
