3D Lenses:
Lenses are basic gear for a 3D television. One type of lens is the anaglyphic passive which is the common blue and red lenses that force your eyes to see the same color of images on the screen. Polarization 3D glasses have polarized lenses that have similar technology with anaglyphic passive minus the need for images in red and blue. Other types of lenses for a 3D television are autosteroscopic or lenticular and active shutter.
The method of 3D imaging capturing is called stereoscopy. The method involves the use of two cameras to capture similar images that are spaced with a distance similar as human pupils. With the use of lenses, your eyes are forced to view the combined images separately. Meanwhile, your brain will combine the images that each of your eye is seeing into 3D images. This makes the images appear to be leaping off the screen.
