Let us not fool ourselves - Mars need not be moms, and the Earth does not need this movie. Mars Needs Moms is a film that regurgitates naff moronism an audience for 90 minutes, and finally an uncomfortable explanation of how the importance of the dominant patriarchy in modern society. To be fair, I do not think such a message may be intentional - I am almost sure this film is not able to approach the high level.
Walt Disney Pictures, apparently had not thought of a very high level, either the view that the easily the worst film studio has churned out nearly a decade. There is no charm or magic to be in this script, no joy exuded from the film one-dimensional characters, no sense of discovery when entering a movie out of shape in the universe. Not that the film is necessarily intended to be anything other than the relentless one-dimensional chucklefest, but it also makes this point - can calculate how many laughs this movie less than one finger.
"The story" does not necessarily appear in the film, it plays more than a vague notion of stretch is intolerable feature length. Namely, Milo (Seth Green played the body and the sound is more age-appropriate actress named Seth Robert Dusky), whiny brat who does not want to take out the garbage, witnesses the abduction of his long-suffering mother (Joan Cusack, whose own identities are much more explicitly than his animated lifeless digitized rendering), after a particularly difficult night of abuse. Of course, he chases after and winds up an alien spaceship, where he pointed out how the darn important mothers are, after all, and when he goes to rescue a bad mother, before her brain sucked out and his body explodes into nothingness.
Yes, they are Martians are pretty unforgiving when it comes to hijacking an ideal parenting style of the American housewife. Class rogue Mars Femi-Nazis led to an image that recalls ET's grandmother (played with excessive force by Mindy Sterling) have created a global best practice by swiping their mother figures and absorb their vitality ... or something like that. Together with the slovenly, annoying residents who have long lived in an alien ship (played the most annoying, slovenly fashion, Dan Fogler) and free-spirited woman of Mars, which call into question the Granny Mars evil plot (Elizabeth Harnois, the movie is only mildly interesting and powerful performance) little Milo sets out to rescue his mother from the clutches of a coma Feminized Destruction. In the process, he uncovers an ancient Martian chalk drawings illustrate how life on Mars will ultimately: the dominant father-figure, subservient woman, and the result of a happy, well-bred children. These scurrilous Fem-artians is killed as Patriarchy can be restored. Afterall, what's next - two female Martians raise a child together? Oh my, the scandal!
Offensive groundwater flows, despite the animation Mars Needs Moms is as ugly as I've seen in this era of revolutionary CG motion capture. Basically, the film looks a bit like Robert Zemeckis rent impersonation - and, indeed, Zemeckis was executive producer on the film under his truck Image Production House. Clearly, he reserves the top class technology in itself, because the work here is so genuine quality that seems like a tight motion capture suits (presented during the closing credits is a sickening "let's-watch-, iron-and-crew-dance" sequence) were rubbed the dirt before use. Human characters, all suffering from a terminal case of Dead Eye Syndrome, but foreigners do not need to look better, feel like a contradiction in this day and age to refer to those interested in state-of-the-art computer animation as a "raw", but there is no better word to describe the show - and what's more, it seems - Mars Needs Moms.
