Saoirse Ronan stars as Hanna in this 2011 movie. She also starred in "The Lovely Bones" as Susie Salmon, playing the role of a sibling that sees her family murdered. In Hanna, Saoirse specifically requested that the director, Joe Wright (Pride & Prejudice) be on-board to direct the film. Similarily, Alfonso Cuaron (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) was rumoured to have been thinking about picking up the project of directing the film but Joe Write signed on before Alfonso could. Eric Bana joins us as Hanna's overpowering and rolemodel father. His previous roles in Troy and Hulk make him perfect for this role. After Seth Lochhead wrote the original story in 2006, he returned in 2010 to put the film in production. The script for Hanna was listed on the 2006 and 2009 Black List, a yearly list showcasing the best unproduced scripts of the year.
