The symptoms of cancer in dogs you should be looking for: Swelling, lumps & bumps (especially on the abdomen area), rashes, spots or discolorations on the skin, constant scratching or licking in a particular area, limping, your pet may be favouring one side of their body which is often a sign of discomfort internally. Behaviour changes should also be taken into account.

It is important to be on the lookout for any signs and symptoms of cancer in dogs throughout the life of your family pet. Make a point of checking the skin when grooming and bathing. Feel beneath the surface of the skin for small lumps or growths. Sore spots that show signs of discomfort, if touched, are also a symptom to be aware of.

Dogs are very stoic, because it is natural for them to hide illness and injury in the wild in order to avoid being attacked. Which makes it even more important that we, the owners, keep a watchful eye on our loved ones for any signs of illness and we know what symptoms of cancer in dogs to look for.
