I was really very excited. It was the first time in a long time that I had been on a "date". I was even more excited because the date was actually on the biggest date night of the year - Valentines Day. I normally get chocolates on Valentine's day and sometimes I even get flowers - paid and bought for by yours truly.
This year was different though, this was a real date, my first date in over eight years. It had taken me ages to get ready. Should I wear the black dress or the red dress or trousers? I called a friend of mine who said I should definitely go with the black dress and killer heels. She wished me good luck and after a glass of wine for dutch courage I ran to the waiting taxi.
