Unidentified Hero warns Midland residents of Alleged Child Preditor Graham Cutforth
There are still Heros out there. They live in Midland Ontario. Graham Cutforth was arrested in May 2010 of sexual interferrence of a minor, a little blind girl. On October 4th he was allowed to plead guilty to a lesser charge of assault by FEMALE Crown Attorney Bhavna Bhangu. Sentencing was to be November 4. After the assaults were discovered the victim's mother decided to move to a close by town to get her daughter out of the place where the assaults took place
.On the evening of November 3 the victim's mother received a call from an old neighbour and friendtelling her that she had received a leaflet downtown. Thisfriend said she recognized the picture on the leaflet as being Graham and put it all together. The victim's mother was surprised to say the least, but glad to hear that someone was actually doing something.
Apparently these leaflets were handed out to Midland residents at the local Malls and put up around town. Midland residents were grateful to be informed of this potential threat to their children. They were also surprised that in Canada there is no Sex Offender Registry available to the public. In the US there is Megan's Law that enables residents to find out exactly where in their community sex offenders reside, but in Canada it has been deternimed that is a violation of the sex offenders rights. I wonder who is looking out for children's and victim's rights?
Isn't it interesting that when the Russel Williams case became public everyone said "Why didn't the police inform us there was a preditor in our community". Now when there is a threat to the safety of children in the communjty of Midland the police STILL don't inform the public.
