Depending on the level of cover you choose, your insurance company will also pay for any accommodation expenses which arise due to your vehicle being damaged to such an extent that you can't live in it. This is something you need to look into though as many policies will have set limits regarding accommodation expenses.

If your motorhome doesn't have any anti-theft devices fitted, you'll definitely be paying far more than you need to for motorhome insurance. Anti-theft devices such as tracking devices, car alarms and immobilisers, all help to keep premiums down. Likewise, if you keep your motorhome locked away under lock and key when you're not using it, you'll also stand to benefit from cheaper insurance.
Many modern motorhomes have all the luxuries of modern day living. These include things such as a flat screen TV, a fridge, a cooker and many other costly items. With this in mind, you should always make sure your insurance policy also covers the contents of your vehicle.
How much an insurance company will pay out if your vehicle is damaged beyond repair is a bit of a grey area, so it's something you need to verify before signing anything. Unfortunately, depending on the type of cover you have, the insurance company may not be willing to pay the full cost of a new vehicle. This is why it's so crucial to study the fine print carefully.
Motorhome insurance deserves some time and effort on your part considering just how much is at stake. Unfortunately however, many people skim through a policy and then sign it, only to find out later that the cover they opted for was insufficient.
