Agra is well connected with Delhi by air, rail and road. Agra has an airport. But since the distance from Delhi to Agra is only 200 km, the travellers prefer to travel to Agra from Delhi either by train, bus or taxi.

There are trains from Delhi to Agra at least every hour. However, those travellers who want to stay in Agra prefer the popular Delhi-Agra Inter-city train which reaches destination at 10 in the night. The train journey from Delhi to Agra takes less than five hours. Most of the trains have a stoppage at Agra, which is a major station in the Delhi-Chennai and Delhi-Mumbai routes.

The most popular mode of transport from Delhi to Agra is road. Besides private and State Transport buses, many tourists and travel agents in Delhi offer tour packages to visit the places of interest in Agra and the neighbouring Mathura, a temple city. If the travellers go by a tourist bus, they will have to shell out more than Rs.1000 to visit the places in Agra. Taxi cabs are also available in plenty. They charge a fare ranging from Rs.20 to Rs.35 per kilometre depending on the vehicle they prefer to hire.
