Traveling with Your Rings

We all want to be able to bring our jewelry and our rings along with us when we go on trips

. The idea of having to leave your jewelry at home, simply because you are afraid of losing it or having it stolen, isn't a fun proposition. If you are like many people, you are attached to your jewelry. After all, what good would your favorite palladium rings be sitting at home? Here are a few good tips that will allow you to bring your jewelry and rings along for vacations and other trips.

Don't Get Carried Away. The first trick to bringing your jewelry with you is to not bring too much jewelry on your trips. Just like suitcases, the more jewelry you bring with you, the more you have to keep track of while traveling. Traveling can be disoriented as your sleep pattern is off, your diet may be off and you are definitely sleeping in a strange bed. You simply don't need additional distractions such as carrying numerous pieces of jewelry. Two, three or four highly valued items might be all you want to consider.

Stay Safe. If you are staying at a higher end, reputable hotel, check to see if they have a safe. You might be a little nervous about using a hotel safe, but at higher end hotels your jewelry is likely quite secure. While there is no guarantee, the last thing any high-end hotel wants in the Internet era is someone complaining online that his or her jewelry was stolen from a safe. In short, this would be a disaster for the hotel. Thus, this is unlikely to happen. That stated, of course, still use caution and commonsense, especially with very valuable pieces or those pieces that have sentimental value.

A Money Belt is Your Friend. Keeping your jewelry in a money belt is another fine option for when you are traveling and do not want to wear your jewelry. Money belts might not look "super-cool," but most of the time you will be the only one who sees the money belt so it won't really matter. Money belts are one of the best ways to make sure that you know where your most important items are while you are traveling.

Be Smart. Your rings such as your palladium rings and tungsten bands are precious, and you took time picking them out. Losing them or having them stolen wouldn't be any fun. By exercising common sense and some early planning, you will be able to travel with your jewelry and do so safely.
