Amit is a great guide and tour operator reliable, knowledgeable and with great connections that can upgrade any trip and turn it into a remarkable experience. Amit operated the tour under very challenging conditions the Kumbh Mella in Haridwar. Many of the roads were closed for traffic, police was exceptionally strict, and crowds were flocking into Haridwar daily. Yet, Amit has managed to operate the tour exceptionally well even under these hard conditions. He was prepared with extra cars and helpers, and was always a few steps ahead foreseeing and taking care of every possible difficulty. He was also able to arrange entrance to the procession on the day of the second royal bath something a very few people in the world (including very devoted practicing Hindus) can attain. This was a mind blowing experience, that a very few tour operators and guides could arrange. On top of his professional skills, Amit is also a very nice guy who is fun to hang out with. My Char dham Yatra with India Holiday Home

In September 2010 I arranged over the internet to do Chaardham Yatra with Amit Bajaj from India Holiday Home. It was a fantastic experience. I was a bit nervous when I flew out from Australia because I hadn't been to India for 20 years and I didn't know if I would get on well with Amit or even if he was an honest and dependable tour operator. I am glad to be able to report that he was and that has many other excellent qualities as well, and especially that he went to great trouble to ensure that everything went smoothly over the 12 days, that I ate healthy food, stayed in good hotels, travelled in a good car with an excellent driver. Amiit introduced me to many interesting people on my pilgrimage including swamis, priests and pandits and they all seemed to genuinely like and respect him, which I think is a great recommendation and increased my confidence in him. He is very knowledgeable about Indian culture, religion and mythology and told me lots of stories as we travelled to all the sacred places and temples, as well as to some lesser known and fascinating destinations off the usual tourist map. I was also very pleased that Amit picked me up at Delhi airport when I arrived in India and that he took me straight to Haridwar because I didn't want to be hassled by unscrupulous types at the airport after a long flight. I would recommend that other foreign travellers do this too. I would also like to add that I met Amit's family - his parents, his wife and 2 lovely children - and that I was privileged to have dinner with them. They are lovely people, very genuine, friendly and helpful. And so I would recommend Amit & Shilpa at India Holiday Home to everyone - you will be in good hands.
