Travel Ideas On A Budget
You don't have to have a lot of money to travel to fun places
. High paid doctors and lawyers aren't the only ones who get to go to new and exciting places. All it takes to travel like the pros is a little creativity and flexibility. There are some wonderful places to visit within the U.S that many people haven't explored. If you want to take a trip but don't know where to go and don't have a fortune to spend, take a minute to do a litter research and find out where some cheaper destinations are.I love to go to California when I have a little time off and a few bucks to spend on a trip. California offers diverse landscapes and incredibly entertaining cities. My personal favorite area to visit is up north in the Bay Area. I love San Francisco and count it as probably my favorite city to stay in for a short vacation. The city boasts great museums, fun shopping, and very accessible public transportation. Getting to the city from the airport is as easy as hoping on the metro line and taking about a 20 minute ride. The city itself offers many options for accommodations that range from lavishly expensive to very basic and affordable.
Another great city to visit if you're looking for affordability is San Antonio Texas. San Antonio has great attractions, with Sea World just a few minutes out of town and the world famous river walk humming with life. Find a hotel close to the center of town and enjoy walking around the river, shopping at the adjacent mall, and eating at one of the many wonderful southwestern restaurants. If you really want to explore the area, rent a car and take a drive up to Austin. Austin is just about an hour away from San Antonio and has some of the best entertainment in the country.
If you're looking for a quick weekend getaway, don't set your sights on faraway places or expensive resorts. There are so many locations closer to home that offer incredible attractions and loads of fun. Air fare is relatively cheap right now and most airlines offer deals to certain cities. Plan some time to get to know a new city and then set out to make some memories. You'll be amazed at how great it feels to get away, even for just few days.
