Today's Teenagers Are Very Interested in Entertainment
I agree that most teenagers nowadays are very interested in entertainment
. Based on recent survey,most teenagers in America spend their time blogging, surfing internets,social networking, watching movies, playing guitar,and even making fun of foreigners. Some parents willingly drive them to the malland their friend's house.Most teenagers in the worldspend theirtime by listening to music, watching movies and dramas, surfing internets, shopping and fantasizing about their idols. I believe that their daily activities are mostly related to entertainment.Talking about entertainment, television plays a main role in determining a teenager's lifestyle. Movies and dramas are popular among teenagers. They watched dramasepisode by episode without fail. An average time of a movie is about 2 hours. That is long enough neededto read through a chapter of one biology topic. When they spend too much time watching movies or dramas, they will not have much time tostudy ordo other important activities with their families. As we know, many movies of today are bad and not suitable for teenagers. They need parental guidance to watch them. If movies are unfiltered, this will give bad influences on the behavior of the teenagers. Therefore, we as their parents have to take the responsibilitiesof looking after them ourselves by monitoring what they watch.
It is generally agreed today that musicis part of a teenager's life. Without music they will probably go insane. Most teenagers enjoy studying while listening to music. Some believe this can increase their concentration level. It is not unusual to see students studying in a quiet library wearing earphones- this shows that they are listening to music. Studying for them should not be boring. A silent and quiet atmosphere while studying is not the best way for some to enjoy their studies. When they cannot enjoy it, then they will lose concentrations and will not understand what have been read. Music and teenagers should not be kept apart. Eventhough people might think studying while listening to music is totally not good, but for them learning can be done in many ways. If music gives them comfort, then this will benefit them more rather than gives them more harm. However, they have to make sure that they are concentrating on their studies and not on the music. They have to keep the volume of the music low so that they will not disturb other people near them.
Teenagers also like to keep up with entertainment news. Theyfascinated by the appearance of their idols. They want to be like their idols and they like to imitate the way their idols dress up, talk or walk. Do not be surprised if there is another Justin Bieber or Daniel Radcliffe in your school. In a way, it helps them attract attention of their friends in school and makes them popular in school. Being knowledgeable about what's happening in the entertainment world helps boost one's self esteem and confidence level. Teenagers with the latest entertainment information can communicate well with other people around them because other people like to listen to the entertainment news. However, they cannot be too occupied with it and spend too much time reading about entertainment news. They also have to think about their studies and other important things. Entertainment should not become an encumbrance for them to go on studying.
Based on some of my views, I can conclude that teenagers cannot be kept apart from entertainment. Time goes on and teenagers lifestyles keep changing. Do not blame them if today's teenagers are more relaxed and enjoyable compared to those in the olden days. As the entertainment industries get more complexedwith time, it will alwaysbecome a big part of teenagers lifestyle evenin the next generation. So, we can say that teenagers of today are very much interested in entertainment and will always be in the future.
