The Next Step Once Your Kids Make Money
Giving back to the community is so critical and one principal that should be explained
once you've established ways for your kids to earn money.If there's one thing you could do to attract more cash into your life, it is to give some of it away. Have you heard of the old saying 'What you give out, you get back tenfold or 10 times over?' Think about someone you know that's wealthy who gives money regularly, I'm sure they'll confirm that when you give cash, you create a feeling of having more than you need and this belief in abundance pulls more wealth to you. It's called the Law of Reciprocity.
One great thing to do is get your child into the practice of giving on a constant basis - make it part of their routine. If they are not receiving regular cash talk to them about the possible ways they can earn money as kids and in the meantime, one idea is to get them to buy tinned food or biscuits whenever they can and give to an animal welfare to feed the animals at the pound.
If you are kids aren't receiving any money, another choice you can suggest to them is to give some of their time by volunteering. Time is so precious and therefore just as valuable as money. They could help people like their grandparents round the house or become a volunteer for a charity (when they're the right age). Time is money and quite precious, therefore giving their time is significantly appreciated.
When you kid does give away their time or money, sit down with them and ask them how they felt, realizing the good it will achieve for the person receiving. Tell them that a part of giving is to feel OK about what they've done and that it's really rewarding. Give your youngster examples of their idols giving back to the planet too. People like Angelina Jolie and Oprah Winfrey are two high profile women which instantly spring to mind. A great story you may wish to read to your children is "The Go-Giver" by Bob Burg and John David Mann. It is a heartwarming and inspiring tale that brings new relevance to the old proverb "Give and you shall receive".
The message you wish to get across to your child is that it's never just about making lots of money, but rather all about the big difference they can make when they have made all of their money!
