The Indian Maharaja itinerary from Mumbai to Delhis takes on a whirlwind tour to some of the choicest places in India
. Beginning from Mumbai and traversing a course that takes you to the ancient caves of Ajanta and Ellora to the rendezvous with tigers at Ranthambore to Pink City Jaipur to the ultimate symbol of love: the Taj Mahal and finally to the capital city Delhi.Day 01: Departure from Mumbai
The Indian Maharaja train tour starts from Mumbai's Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus. The train leaves for Daulatabad in the evening. Dinner onboard.
Day 02: Daulatabad/ Aurangabad/ Ellora
Early morning, The Indian Maharaja arrives at Daulatabad. Post breakfast; leave for a tour to the UNESCO world Heritage site- the Ellora caves. After exploring these caves, return to the train for lunch. Rest of the day for leisure activities. Dinner will be served on board.
Day 03: Jalgaon/Ajanta On the third day, The Indian Maharaja arrives at Jalgaon. After a hearty breakfast. Leave for a sightseeing tour of the Ajanta Caves. After a half day sight seeing return to the royal the Indian Maharaja for a scrumptious lunch. The train departs for its onward journey to Udaipur. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 04: Udaipur
This morning, the train arriver in Udaipur- the most romantic city of Rajasthan. Post breakfast; disembark the train for a long day sightseeing tour of the city. Visit the lakes, palaces, forts, garden and temples of the city. Enjoy dinner at hotel- Jag Mandir Palace. Board the Indian Maharaja train for an over night journey to Sawai Madhopur.
Day 05: Sawai Madhopur
Early morning, The Indian Maharaja leave for a morning safari to the Rantahmbore National Park. Later return to the train to have a meal. Later proceed for an afternoon safari to the park. In the evening, the train leaves for Jaipur. Dinner will be served on board.
Day 06: Jaipur On this day, The Indian Maharaja arrives at the pink city of Rajasthan. From dawn to dusk explore the city. Visit, Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, City Palace and if time permits explore the local handicraft markets before returning to the train.
Day 07: Agra Early morning, the train arrives in Baharatpur. Disembark the train and drive towards Agra. En route explore the magnificent Fatehpur Sikri. After exploring the city, visit the celebrated Taj Mahal. Also visit the Agra Fort. In the evening, the train returns to Delhi.
Day 08: Delhi The Indian Maharaja tour concludes in Delhi.
