The Importance of Therapy and Counseling at a Christian Treatment Center

Christian treatment centers are a source of outstanding resources and excellent service that include detoxification, therapeutic conditioning, physical examination, pastoral counseling, fasting and prayer, reading and learning about the Word of God and worship. The bible inspires them to want to be transformed and changed in the presence of the Lord. It gives them an insight on God's love and how they can tap into that love to increase their spiritual strength.

These Christian treatment centers are not like the forms of traditional treatment programs. It is set apart because it has God in it. Anything that God touches is remedy for inspiration, empowerment and hope. No one that comes through those doors will be the same when they leave. This is so as long as they are committed to learning how God can help them and receiving that help in full force.

Family support, though, should be part of this dynamic solution. What the person believes before coming into the Christian recovery program is meaningless because when they go out, it will be a different scenario. God is the one that will do the work in that person. God is the one who inspires, gives strength and fights battles. He knows the end from the beginning. He understands every person, their hurts and their pain. He is the one that created all of us and knows all that is necessary and good for us.

Jessica was an alcoholic and she tried everything to quit. She had no inspiration towards any kind of improvement in life. She was fine with drinking alcohol everyday and getting drunk. She had no children and no one to be responsible for, but herself. She loved the freedom that her life provided. Of course, she was obligated to a job, but that did not stop her from living her alcoholic lifestyle. The best part was when Friday evening came and it was the end of the work week. She would go to Happy Hour with her friends. She loved hanging out with the crowd of friends that were doing the same thing that she was doing. They would go to the club afterwards and stay there until the wee hours of the morning. No one had any family commitments. It was only a few years later that some of her friends began to drop out of the party scene that she began to take notice of her depression and her loneliness.

At one of the Christian treatment centers, she was able to distinguish why she felt that way. Her friends were getting married and having children. Starting a family was the determining factor for some of them to stop their destructive behavior. For Jessica, it was the faith based treatment program that did it for her. She had to enroll after one of those same friends orchestrated an intervention for her. That was the defining point in her life. She has ever been indebted to that person and was glad that she accepted the help that was being offered to her.
