The Global Sales Of Led Lighting Slowed Down Rapidly
The recently released report shows that the global sales of the led lighting in 2011 have slowed down
. The total revenue is approximately $ 299 billion, a decrease of 0.1% compared with 2010. The new reports made some changes than forecasts in the second quarter of this year. Previously, it forecasts that the global led lighting sales will rise 5.1%.There are three key factors that have changed our short-term forecast: excess inventory, manufacturing overcapacity, declining demand due to economic weakness. Led lighting company's plan in the third quarter is less than the quarterly average. The manufacturers' plan in the third quarter fell from mild to decline. Typical, due to school return and the holidays in the third quarter we will see 8-9% growth. But the supply chain still showed significant decline. The related inventory of the led lighting is still improving.
The growth expectations of PC production are also expected to drop. In the last quarter, it is expected that the growth rate of PC output is 9.5%. Now it decreased to 3.4%. The analyst also cut the growth forecast of mobile phone production. In the second quarter, the growth rate is 12.9%. The latest forecast of the growth rate is11.5%.
As the decline in PC demand and prices, so DRAM is severely affected. It is forecast that it will fall 26.6% in 2011. NANDflash flash memory and data processing ASIC have the fastest growth this year, about 20%. This is mainly benefit from the strong demand of smart phones and tablet PCs.
The analyst said because of the deteriorating macro-economic expectations, we have reduced the growth forecast of Led lighting in 2012 from 8.6% to 4.6%. As the possibility of the second recession of the U.S. economy is increasing, the sales are also expected to deteriorate further. The analysts are closely monitoring the sales of IT and consumer trends to see whether there are significant signs of recession.
The led lighting industry this year is not busy. The analysts generally believe that the market demand was flat. There are too many changes at this stage. But short-term performance picked up. In addition to relatively low base outside, it is partly because of the seasonal stocking requirements.
This year's earthquake in Japan, the Middle East political instability, natural disasters in the United States, Europe, the U.S. government debt crisis and a series of events made the global economic growth slowed down in the first half of 2011. It also dragged down the electronics and led lighting markets.
