The Entire Insurance Business Can Be Very Confusing!
If there is one thing that almost everyone complaints about and/or can tell you irks
them the most it is the INSURANCE Business! You know, there actually is nothing that can be or is more confusing (by some peoples reckoning anyway) than having to delve into and try to decipher to intricacies and meaning of any type of insurance policy! When you really stop to think about the different types of insurance policies that are all around you and what each covers and entails it really is pretty easy to see why this is one of those topics that REALLY gets on peoples nerves. You might also understand why it confuses the living daylights out of many of us as well.
WE all know that you absolutely MUST have Car Insurance in some form or another if you are going to own and/or be driving an automobile (car, truck, camper/RV or van) of any kind on the roads in America or anywhere in the world for that matter. As if THAT were not confusing enough at times, you might be told by the Insurance Company that you choose that you do not need a full coverage policy that has Comprehensive, Collision and Liability if your vehicle is an older model year, say ten years old and beyond.
You might be told then that you only need Liability Insurance to cover yourself and your car. For the most part most states absolutely require that you carry at least liability coverage to legally be allowed to drive on the roads. This actually is totally for your own protection and the safety of others around you. However, there are so many people that have decided that they are going to drive without any form of insurance on their vehicles at all; which only leads to getting a traffic ticket and/or getting arrested with the worse part being that you might end up losing your right to drive legally because of a suspended or revoked Drivers License.
The other end of this often confusing equation comes in when you start discussing Travel Insurance
( Rejseforsikring ) as well as Home Insurance. For many people it is the Home Owners insurance that tends to be a confusing mess because of the fact that they may not and dont always understand what all the actual policy really does cover and what it does not cover. There are many things that even the best Home Owners policy will not cover and/or that you have to add onto your policy in order to have peace of mind.
For some people it is the Travelers Insurance policies that are the cotton-picking nightmare to figure out and/or decipher in any way, shape or form! They either simply do not get what is so blasted important about having such a policy in place when they are traveling abroad, OR simply do not think that it is necessary to buy and carry a policy in the first place. This has literally become a true nightmare for many a traveler too.
The last type of insurance that you might be wondering about and possibly trying to figure out would be Electronics Insurance folks. We can already see the quizzical and confused looks and hear the what in the world is that/are you talking about or something along these lines anyway - type of questions. This is not that surprising to hear in the least. If you have expensive electronics such as recording equipment, cell/mobile phones, computers or any type of A/V Audio/Video equipment you will need to insure these items in the event that they are stolen, lost or damaged in any way that is out of your control.
