The Different Types Of Breast Cancer In Women
Awareness of the problem is essential to get it solved similarly breast cancer can
be tackled successfully when one has the adequate knowledge that is known as breast awareness as well about the disease and the reasons, although in case of breast cancer the reasons are not known but after a number of surveys there are some reasons which increase the risk of developing cancer and they are called risk factors of breast cancer as they increase the risk of being attacked by the disease but not in case of all women it is also possible that women those who have the risk factors may never develop this disease but some without any risk factors have this disease so the nature of disease is complicated and it is not easy to treat especially if it is diagnosed at late stage the chances of survival become minimal because the disease spreads to other parts of the body and is called invasive n this condition because the invades the other areas there are different types of invasive and non-invasive breast cancer similarly there are different stages of breast cancer as well starting from the stage 0 will see the details of
Stage 0
It is used for non - invasive type of cancer such as DCIS Ductal Carcinoma in Situ at this stage there is no evidence that abnormal cells are cancerous or they break through the place of origin.
Stage I
Stage I is invasive breast cancer as in this case cancer spreads to other parts of the body by breaking through the place of origin as in this case no lymph node is involved and the tumor is almost 2 cm and the invasion is not huge in this case as the cancer cells are seen just outside the lining of the duct or lobe.
Stage II
Stage II is divided into sub categories of II A and II B
II A
II A describes invasive breast cancer in which there is no lump in the breast, but cancer cells are found in the armpit and the tumor measures not more than 2 cm in some cases and it is also possible that the tumor size is about 2 to 5 cm and has not spread to the axillary lymph nodes.
II B
II B is the type of cancer in which the tumor size is between 2 to 5 cm and it has spread to the lymph nodes similarly it is possible that tumor is larger than 5 cm and has not spread to the lymph nodes.
Stage III
Stage III is divided into subcategories IIIA, IIIB and III C
IIIA
IIIA is a type of invasive cancer in which the lump is not there, but the cancer is found into the lymph nodes and cells are clustered together and it is also possible that those cells reach the breastbone.
IIIB
IIIB is the type of cancer in which the size of cancer varies and it is possible that it has spread to the chest wall and it is possible that it has spread to the lymph nodes and cancer cells clumped together may involve lymph nodes near the breastbone.
