The winter is gone. It is the time for the Dubliners to come out of their houses and walk on the streets without any winter jackets and wear sunglasses. Well, the summer has arrived. The stage of Dublin is gearing up to host various events to entertain the people of Dublin. The summer kicks off with a big four day event ' Dublin city soul festival' in May. This festival is celebrating its fifth year where the world's renowned artists are coming to give numerous musical and comedy performances. Apart from the performances there are also Soul cinema and soul restaurant where the people can have great fun before and after the events.
The month of june is going to be a feast for the food and wine lovers in the most exciting event of 'Taste of Dublin'. This is an outdoor food and drink event where Dublin's top restaurants and most experienced chefs are going to participate and prepare various dishes and drinks. This event takes place in the second weekend of june at the Iveagh gardens where 30,000 visitors are expected to come. In the mid of june there is another exciting event called the Street performance world championship. The Dublin's Merrion square is the venue for this excellent event where various comedians, magicians, contortionists, break dancers are going to provide nonstop entertainment. There are going to be unbelievable feats, unexpected magic tricks and extreme hilarity which makes it a very big and unique event that draws many attention. After this event, Bloom's day is going to be on june 16th. In 1904 on the same date James Joyce's novel Ulysses took place. So on the date of 16th june, every year the Bloom admirers are going to dress themselves in a traditional manner and participate in readings,walks,activities and connect themselves to the Ulysses and its author.
In july, the Aviva stadium is going to conduct the biggest soccer event 'Dublin super cup'. In this event the soccer giants like Scottish, Celtic FC, Manchester city and Italian maestros InterMilan are going to participate where the soccer fans are all set to cheer their favorite team. The RDS horse show is celebrating its 138 years in this august in the very famous Failte Ireland Dublin horse show 2011. The highlights of the show are the Aga khan trophy, Longines International Grand Prix & Land Rover Puissance.
