Based on your treatment plan, your dentist will create a series of customized aligners that you will wear throughout your treatment.
Once your aligners arrive from the dental lab, you will begin your treatment process by wearing your first aligners for approximately 20-22 hours per day. If you maintain this amount of time with them in, after about two weeks you will be ready to switch to your next set of aligners. During treatment you will visit with your dentist approximately every six weeks to make sure that your teeth are moving at the proper rate and to make any adjustments to your treatment. After you have finished with your last set of aligners, you will simply discontinue wearing them and start fully enjoying your new straight smile!
