. Instead of bringing back the old, Sting has opted to pair up with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra for a stirring set of some of his most memorable melodies. Sting's most recent concert took place at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in St. Louis, Mo. and he opened with one of his solo hits, "If I Ever Lose My Faith in You." The song took on new grooves and gave fans a different interpretation of one of his best ballads. Other songs of the evening included "Englishman in New York," "Shape of My Heart," "Roxanne," "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" and "Every Breath You Take." For Police and Sting fans it was a dreamy experience and one that certainly will not be replicated by other artists.

After a successful run with the Police through the seventies and early eighties, Sting set his sights on a solo career and brought together a group of jazz artists as a supporting band. His solo debut arrived in 1985 and was called The Dream of the Blue Turtles. It wasn't until several years later, however that he truly broke onto the market as a solo artist with Ten Summoner's Tales. The record spawned off a couple singles that made it to the Top 20 on the charts including "If I Ever Lose My Faith in You" and "Fields of Gold."
Shortly afterward he struck gold again, or at least a number one with the tune, "All for Love," which was recorded in collaboration with Rod Stewart and Bryan Adams for the film The Three Musketeers.
Since then, Sting has remained a force on the music scene, issuing albums through the 1990s like Mercury Falling and Brand New Day. The latter album won him two Grammy Awards. In 2007, Sting returned as the frontman to the Police and the band went on tour for a couple of years, much to the excitement of devoted fans. This year, Sting has once again given fans a reason to want another encore. His tour with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra is winning him praise around the globe.
