In addition to all this history, London is known for some of the most well known art galleries in the world including the Tate Modern which houses contemporary and modern art and the National Gallery housing famous works from not only the UK but around the world.
Apart from history and the arts, London literally has something for everyone from multicultural cuisine to the diverse culture represented in the 100s of shops and the world famous theatre shows in the West End. The West End theatre is considered to be an absolute must for most visitors to London. The West End is now home to some amazing hit musicals such as Mary Poppins, Oliver, The Mousetrap, Phantom of the Opera, Billy Elliot the list just go on and on.
