Staging Homes For Sale Dont Forget The Yard

Staging Homes For Sale Dont Forget The Yard

1. Start with the lawn

If lawn trimming has been long over due, start by treating it with some high-quality weed killer. There are several of these products filled with micronutrients, potassium, nitrogen and phosphorus that have the ability to kill growth even before it happens. Next, you may want to submit a sample of your soil to your states agricultural center to know the pH level. Acidic soil needs lime while a gardeners sulfur is for a soil with a pH level of 7 above; do this to neutralize the soil of the yard at your home for sale.

2. Move on the trees

After taking some time taking care of the lawn, dont forget the trees, if there are any, around your home for sale. If branches start reaching your house, prune them. Also make sure that plant overgrowths are a distance away from the siding in order to avoid mold growth.

3. Take care of the flowerbed

If you want to make a good initial impression to your buyers, you can do so with a neatly groomed yard. Continue to edge your flowerbeds by simply tying a string between a couple of sticks and following the line with a spade.

4. Apply mulch

Another way to make an excellent first impression is to put new mulches in your yard. A good visual appeal can be achieved by using mulches that retain color year-round.

5. Clean everything

Your fences, patios, decks and other outdoor expansions are vulnerable to mold and dirt. Washing these places thoroughly not only helps in giving the right impression to your buyers but also increases defense against flu.

6. Consider plants

When you are thinking of adding plants or a garden, choose perennials. These plants are good for a long-term garden. However, if you want year-round color and cost-effective gardening, you can choose annuals like geraniums, impatiens and others. Adding herbs and vegetable plants in the garden of your home for sale is also another great idea to attract buyers.
